Ric Watts, programmer at Contact Theatre in Manchester said with regards to getting your work out there, to not send work out in abundance but to "stand with venues that you want to talk too, that their visions and values align with your own" (Watts, 2022: presentation)

​

This is something I subscribe to in my personal life and general work ethic. Awareness of social responsibility for theatres is super important to me and it's good to be reminded from Ric Watts that this is the type of ownership we can have over our own work.
